West 4 HarriersGeneral Secretary: Tony Hopkins, 31, Clayton Cres., Brentford, TW8 9PT, Tel: 020-8847-0170 Ladies Sec: Web-site: west4harriers.org MALES & FEMALES: Following the move of Polytechnic H from Chiswick to Kingston members of the Poly formed a new club in 1990 to cater for local road runners, of 17 years and older, who wished to train together. The most successful runner in the club has been the veteran Rob Johnston whose favourite distance is 10k. In 1991 the club instituted the Thames Towpath 10 and in September each year organise the Poly Marathon. Occasional socials are held. Headquarters: A well appointed Clubhouse with bar rear of Polytechnic Stadium, Cavendish Rd., Chiswick W4. Training evenings Mon. 6.45pm & Thur. 7.00pm, 6m in fast and slow phases to accommodate most abilities. Sun. 10.15 am, short or long runs. |
