MALES and FEMALES. The club was founded in 1921 as the athletics section of the Old Gaytonians Association, which had its origins in Harrow County School. The name was subsequently changed to Old Gaytonians Athletic Club and in 1996 to the present name. In April 2002 the women's club Parkside (Harrow) A.C. amalgamated with Harrow A.C. Parkside were formed by Sylvia Parker and Margaret Cliffe, two members of the County Netball team, in 1972. Andrea Whitcombe and Alison Wyeth were their outstanding internationals of the six the club has had, all coached by Bob Parker. They won the National Cross-Country Championships five times during the 1990's.

Until 1970, the men's side of the club competed mostly in inter-club trophy matches in the summer and various championships in the cross-country sea-son. After entry into Div. 5 of the Southern League, the club achieved British League Div. 1 status in 1990. The club was instrumental in setting-up of the National Junior League in 1989. In the National Young Athletes League, the club has reached the finals in each of the past twenty years, finishing second in 1985. Among the most successful athletes have been the international 800m runner, Jack Powell in the twenties and thirties, while more recently there has been Phil O'Brien, Phil Parry, Malcolm Croad, Sam Nchinda, David Messom, Dean Macey, Jamie Quarrie and Andy Baddeley, all of whom have won representative honours.

Seniors compete in the British Lg. Div. 3. There is a team in the National Junior Lg. and Young Athletes Lg. Premier Div. For cross-country members run in the Chiltern Lg. and area championships.

Social events are held from time to time.

Headquarters: Bannister Sports Centre, Uxbridge Rd, Harrow Weald, Middx. Track coaching take place Mon & Wed. 6.15pm- and Sun. 11.00am with groups Running x-country from the Bannister stadium or Cassiobury Park, Watford.
